Abuja, NIGERIA — The Presidential candidate of the Labour party, Peter Gregory Obi was on AriseTV today where he granted an interview concerning the post-presidential election processes and his plans regarding the criminality supervised by the INEC.

Below are few excerpts from his interview….

Religious leaders are asking you to withdraw the court case for the sake of peace.

What the religious leaders are preaching is the problem of Nigeria today. The problem of Nigeria is accepting the unacceptable. I disagree with them.

We have a Pakistani and Indian as Mayor of London and UK Price Minister respectively, and they’re doing far better than us. We must end these structures of criminality.

Igbo Politicians Alignment to the “Centre” Politics: Opportunism Without Results—Until Peter Obi | By Chidipeters Okorie

Obasanjo got about 90% of South East votes even though our reverred Ojukwu was on the ballot. Abiola, whose VP was a Muslim from the North got more SE votes, against Tofa whose VP was a respected Igbo man. I’m appealing to Nigerians to remove all these things….

…the issues of tribalism and ethnic bigotry opposition parties are stoking up during the campaigns.

People resort to tribalism when they can’t compete on competence, capacity and compassion. In Rivers State, as you know, the Governor came out against me, but if the real votes of Rivers State were counted, I won by over 50 something percent of the votes, and the other 2 parties were sharing the others”

Alleged election rigging in the South East

I’m actually surprised I didn’t get 100% in Anambra State because I don’t know who will be voting against me there. I won in Aso rock, would you say it is rigging? Which machinery do I have to rig? I have no LG chairman, I don’t know any DPO.

I’m not challenging who they declared the winner, I’m not asking INEC to change their result, I’m only asking them to give us access to the documents, the process and material used to arrive at the result.

What’s your relationship now with Charles Soludo after all he said during the elections

He’s my respected brother and a friend. I pray for him as the governor of Anambra. He’s a professor and I’m a trader. You don’t expect me to think like him.
