Ogilisi Igbo Sends Easter Message, Calls for Compassion and Spiritual Reflection

The spiritual leader of the Igbo nation, Ogilisi Igbo, has extended Easter greetings to Christians, urging reflection on renewal, unity and the enduring triumph of light over darkness.

In a statement released to mark the Easter celebration, Ogilisi Igbo acknowledged the deep spiritual significance of the season, describing it as a period that transcends religious boundaries and speaks to universal themes of transformation and hope.

While noting that his personal path is rooted in contemplation of deeper metaphysical realities, the spiritual leader expressed respect for the Christian faith and its observances. He highlighted the resurrection of Jesus Christ as not only a cornerstone of Christian belief but also a timeless symbol of renewal and victory over despair.

According to him, Easter offers an opportunity for individuals to reflect on the broader meaning of existence beyond the physical realm. He emphasised the importance of recognising a higher order defined by divine light, truth and harmony, suggesting that human life is guided by a purpose that extends beyond what is immediately visible.

“Light conquers darkness, and the spirit remains eternal,” he said, adding that faith serves as a bridge connecting humanity to a greater spiritual reality. He urged people to use the season as a moment to elevate their thoughts, seek inner renewal and align their lives with divine principles.

Ogilisi Igbo further called for increased dialogue and mutual respect among people of different religious backgrounds, stressing the need for unity in an increasingly complex world. He noted that the diversity of faith traditions should be seen as a source of strength rather than division.

The spiritual leader encouraged individuals to rise above societal challenges by embracing values such as love, purity and righteousness. He also urged acts of kindness and compassion, saying these virtues remain central to building a more peaceful and harmonious society.

“In a world filled with challenges, let us rise above earthly struggles,” he said, calling on people to embody the teachings that promote goodwill and shared humanity.

Concluding his statement, Ogilisi Igbo expressed hope that the Easter season would inspire a renewed commitment to spiritual growth and collective harmony. He urged Nigerians and the global community to remain steadfast in their pursuit of truth and light, while working together to build a future grounded in unity and shared values.
