Global Igbo Organizations Rally for Ancestral Reconnection at CISA-Fest 2025 in Abagana

Abuja, NIGERIA –  Abagana prepares to glow with ancestral echoes on December 12, 2025, when the Council of Igbo States in Americas and the Igbo World Assembly gather their global family at the Ikendigbo Event Center, opposite the Njikoka Local Government Headquarters. Under the evocative theme “Oganiru Ifediiche (Positive Impact),” CISA-Fest becomes a journey—one that calls Igbo sons and daughters across oceans back into the embrace of memory and origin.

Here, culture is not displayed; it is lived. The day stretches from morning light at 9 a.m. to the soft close of evening at 5 p.m., carrying with it pulsating drums, swirling masquerades, scholarly reflections, and intimate dialogues with elders. Each segment is crafted as a pathway toward identity reclamation, guided by CISA’s deep-rooted work in heritage education, diaspora leadership, and symbolic Igbo Village reconstructions that anchor communities abroad.

Royal presences add gravitas: HRM Eze Chukwuemeka Eri, Eze Eri, Ezeora 34th & Aka Ji Ovọ Igbo, sits as Royal Father of the Day, a living testament to primal ancestry; while His Eminence Dr. Eberechukwu Oji, Eze Aro of Arochukwu, arrives as Guest Royal Father, carrying the spiritual and historical weight of Aro lineage.

The festival’s custodians—Dr. N. A. Anakwenze as Chief Host, Chief Dr. (Mrs.) Uzoamaka Josephine Aguoji as Host, and Onye Nze Amadiebube Mbama as Co-Host—weave leadership and cultural mission into one tapestry. They are joined by distinguished voices: Dr. Juan Ávila Abrahams; Chief Laverne Holden, Ugosimba I of Ibagwa Nike (UK) and CEO of Able Farms; Chief, Prince Dr. Sidney Eluemuno Davis, a vital link to African Americans of Igbo descent and champion of DSG Diaspora and Igbo Landing remembrance; and Lolo Nneka Chimezie, President of the IWA Women Council.

For Chief Dr. (Mrs.) Aguoji, CISA-Fest becomes a sanctuary—a luminous space where global Igbo identity is strengthened, unity is rekindled, and the language and customs of a people are protected against the fading winds of time.
